Confluences bridge
Engineering structure with metal deck built to cross the Maine River, supported by 2 struts, 1
abutment and 1 pier. Reinforcement of the soil for support of backfill and support walls for the
access ramp to the structure. The deck was placed on pile trestles before being picked up by the
stays. One strut is founded on micropiles and the other on solid shale. The piers are founded on
bored piles, except for one that rests on the foot of the strut.
